Gloucestershire Network of Counsellors and Psychotherapists

Membership of Glosnet is reserved for qualified therapists (talking, arts, drama, psychodrama and movement) and therapists at the placement stage of their training.

Glosnet was established in 2006 by Allison Priestman and Jackie Rowanly, other Glosnet members who have managed Glosnet are Iona Fredenburgh, Sarah Anderton, Sarah Wooster and Andrea Hawkins. Brian Tasker has been the current administrator and is now stepping back as Louise Kemp (Lou) will be taking over.

Glosnet has more than 400 members and growing and was created with the vision of providing:

  • A closed email group for members to use for networking
  • Sharing information to support our work
  • An online discussion group
  • A chance to build referral networks and promote your work via a separate group
  • Notification of CPD opportunities provided by members and others
  • A Glosnet List of Supervisors
  • Opportunities to meet practitioners from your own and other orientations
  • Networking suppers and lunches – informal gatherings of practitioners sharing food and discussion
  • An opportunity for members to create an active practitioner body in our locality; this could be at a level that suits individuals and could be based on shared modalities, practice settings etc, etc.
